He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie B. Reed and Lillian G. Reed (Campbell); his wife Mary Ellen Kaffenberger; and his siblings, Vidie Fuller, Frances Soper, Ellen Reed-Cunningham, John Reed and Willis Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Chunko (Michael), Donald B. Reed, Jr. (Teri), Kenneth F. Reed (Judy) and Patrick A. Reed (Debbie). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials to American Cancer Society or Crusade for Toys with the Salvation Army are appreciated.
