He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emery J. and Margie E. Holzinger, Sr. (Scheffers); his wife Gerry; his children, Ellen Tanis (Lee) of Grand Rapids, MI, Gerry McDonald (Mike) of Spring Lake, MI, Matthew Holzinger (Robin) of Grand Haven, MI and Mary Jo Messenger (Ed) of Jenison, MI; his daughter-in-law Robin Holzinger; his sisters-in-law, Joan Mead, Patricia and Caroline McFadden; and his son Mark Holzinger. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
