He was predeceased by: his parents, John Purdy and Gertrude Purdy (Ogden); his wife Sandra Lou Helmers; his brother John O. Purdy; his parents-in-law, Arend and Henrietta Helmers; his brother-in-law Harrell Satterfield; and his close friend Tom Streng.
He is survived by: his children, Andrea Errico (Anthony) and Garry Purdy, Jr. (Erin); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Isabella, AJ, Ashley, Alyssa and Avery Errico; his sisters, Gloria Satterfield and Charyle Sandoval (Charlie); and his close friends, Bill Thelen, Guy Flom and Phil Breuker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
