He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Weigel and Colleen Weigel (McCue); and his great grandchild Grace Duarte. He is survived by: his wife Debra Hansen; his children, Michael Hansen, Brandon Weigel (Lori) and Laura Johnson (Spencer); his grandchildren, Samantha, Sage Hansen, Kayli, Ashlye, Sydney, Tessa Spencer, Alyssa Slootmaker (Cameron), Hannah, Chloe Weigel and Westley Vokits; his great grandchildren, Noah, Josiah Little, Jae Lynn, Ezekiel Spencer, Aurora Tanis, Elizabeth Duarte and Hannah Merryman; his siblings, Brenda Weigel, Dave Weigel (Loraine) and Randy Weigel (Lorrie); his close friends, Ben and Sawyer; and his pet Donahue. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Klaassen Family Funeral Home (1500 Robbins Rd, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
