It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Alan Melcher of Grand Haven, Michigan, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, George Melcher and Bonnie Melcher (Stygstra); and his mother-in-law Theresa Richert. He is survived by : his wife Lora Vrablic; his sons, Clint Melcher (Kim) of Grand Haven and PJ Melcher (Kristin) of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Derek Melcher (Taylor), Megan Burke (Zack), Jessica, Logan and Samantha Melcher; his great grandchild Elizabeth Burke; his father-in-law Ora Richert, Jr.; his sisters, Georgia Gillespie (Kurt) and Pam Melcher; and his in-laws, Rhonda Doerr, Robyn Richert (Donna) and Renee Narrol (Scott). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

“Dear Lora & Family....There are simply no words to express my condolences to all of you. Although many years have passed, I have many great memories of time spent with Jerry and yourself and it is hard to believe he is gone from view in our world. I will ask for peace and comfort for all of you from the one who can truly soothe our souls. Tough times for all of you, I have walked this road myself and it is a long road. Thank God for the good memories to treasure.”
