With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald L. VerBerkmoes of Grand Haven, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph VerBerkmoes and Gertrude VerBerkmoes (Voogt); his son Russell VerBerkmoes; his siblings, Joe, Jacoba, Clarence and Gary; and the mother of his children Pearl Bos.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hudson; his children, Patricia Connor (Raymond), Karen Panzegrau (Paul), Janice Williams (Ross), Timothy VerBerkmoes (Deb) and Rodney VerBerkmoes (Dawn); his stepchildren, Kathy TenBrink, Tracey VanVelzen (Scott), Janice VerBerkmoes (Jeff) and Timothy TenBrink; and his grandchildren, William VerBerkmoes (Christa), Nick VerBerkmoes (Nikki), Paula Willis (Rob), Molly Holmes (Chris), Matthew Panzegrau, Stephanie Rowe (Kevin), Luke Williams (Katherine), Shelby VerBerkmoes, Lindsey Diller (Jeremy), Cassidy VerBerkmoes, Isaac VerBerkmoes (Keeghan), Katie Hughes (William), Re'Shon VerBerkmoes, Ramsey Weber, Jarod VerBerkmoes (Katie), Jill Payne, Shane Smith (Andy), Tara Inso and Alexandria Insododson (Jake). He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
