He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Smith and Nellie Smith (Bultema); his wife Elaine; his brother-in-law Dr. Edward Spencer; his brother Willard; and his sister-in-law Nettie Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Holton (Randy) and Gary Smith; his grandsons, Randall Holton (Lauren) and Eric Holton; and his siblings, Lois Spencer and Irvin Smith (Kathleen).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Klaassen Family Funeral Home (1500 Robbins Rd, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post 28 or Harbor Hospice Leila and Cyrus Poppen Residence.
