He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Porenta and Alice Porenta (Engle). He is survived by: his wife Valerie Ernst; his son Joseph Porenta (Shannon); his grandchildren, Ryan, Corinne, Colin, Maureen and Simon; his sisters, Virginia Nielsen (Mike) and Judith Porenta; and his brother-in-law Mike Ernst (Jan).
