He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl Heim and Monica Pauline Kerpinski Heim; and his wife Sharon Heim. He is survived by: his children, Susan Shattuck and John Heim, III (Joy); his son-in-law Bill Shattuck; his grandchildren, Joshua Shattuck, Jana Borrink, Stephen Shattuck, Monica Shattuck, Abigail Dixon and John Heim, IV; and his siblings, Walt Heim and Ruth Lubbers. He is also survived by his 10 great grandchildren.
