He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sloan and Hannah Sloan (Japinga); and his daughter Mary Pleimling. He is survived by: his wife Connie Miesch; his children, Ann Knutson (Clark), Kathryn Niergarth, Karen Pistis (Charles), Teresa Nivison, Jean Cuddington (Tim), John Sloan (Edk), Paula Davis and Dave Sloan (Rysa Miller); and his siblings, Linda Goodman (Autry) and Tom Sloan (Elaine). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; many great great-grandchildren.
