He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Payne and Anna Payne (Buckner); his siblings, Nancy Benes, Margie Lyons, Bob Payne, James "Jim" Payne, Frank Payne and Arthur "Art" Payne; and his sister-in-law Rosemary Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Langley; his children, Lori Smith, Bill Payne (Marie) and Carl Payne; his stepchildren, Rhonda Goeller, Brian Griesbach and Matthew Ryder; his siblings, Rosie Currier (Bill), Beverly Yff, Donald Payne (Viola) and Paul Payne (Deanna); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Payne, Nora Bridges, Frank Langley (Sharon) and Joe Langley (Maria). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
