She was predeceased by: her parents, William Holmgren and Lois Holmgren (Rollenhagen); her spouse Russell Pickel; and her daughter Heidi Elzinga (Pickel). She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Gillespie (Kurt); her grandchildren, Nicholas Lee, Lauren, Ben, Christopher Elzinga, Audry Neitring (Jamie) and Doug Gillespie; her great grandchildren, Duke and Waylon Neitring; and her brothers, Manfred "Fred" Holmgren and Kraig Holmgren (Debra). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
