She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Swartz and Marguerite Swartz (VanArkel); her husband Peter Manting, Sr.; her sister Marjory Mackenzie; and her brother-in-law Dr. Donald Mackenzie.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Chittenden (Dan) of Spring Lake, Katherine Pierce (Gary) of Ocala, Florida and Peter Manting (Brenda) of Ludington; her grandchildren, Ben Manting (Lauren), Sarah Chittenden (Donald Caraccio), Emily First (Cameron), George Chittenden (Megan), Cheryl Gillan (Anthony) and Krista Riggan (Charles); her great grandchildren, Micah, Oliver, Esther Manting, Maxwell, Otto Chittenden, Clara and Elliott First; and her sister Sally Anderson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests. Memorial Contributions be made to the Salvation Army-Grand Haven, First Reformed Church, or the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
