With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Carl Brown of Grand Haven, Michigan, who passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brown and Emma Brown (Goodacre); his former wife Norma Davidson; his grandson Jason Bailey; his siblings, Frieda Koski, John Brown, James, Nelson De Jonge and David Bottje; and his stepdaughter Michele Ewing.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Newman; his sons, Danny, Michael Bailey and Kevin Brown (Dawn); his sisters, Sheila Driesenga and Alice Driesenga; his stepchildren, Cheri Reiss (Joe) and Mike Wing; and his grandchildren, Brandon Bailey, Alex Brown, Chris Reiss, Luke Wing, Geoffrey, Nathan Saunders, Amber Troupe, Jessica Clover and Allison Palmer. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
