He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Anthes and Mary Anthes (Thomson). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Anthes; his children, Todd Anthes (Michelle) and Kathryn Drake (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Maxmilan Anthes (Adayla), Lillian Anthes, Jonah Drake and Julia Drake; his siblings, Arlene Smith (Charles) and Paul Anthes (Cindie); and his brother-in-law Jon Dostal (Judy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and two great nephews; and one great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (717 Sheldon Rd, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
