He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lutz and Emma Lutz (Brickman); his daughter Kimberly Booth; and his brothers, Harold Lutz (Ruth) and Carl Lutz.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie VanDeWeg; his children, John Lutz (Jeanne), Lynda Ware (Nathan), Gary Lutz and Randy Lutz (Sharolyn); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Brooke), Harmony, Samantha (Tony), Kevin (Liz), Ben (Hannah) and Jake; his great grandchildren, Zander, Max, Archer and Elizabeth Rae; his siblings, Elaine Lutz, Patsy Guzman (Dan), Esther Loosemore (Ben) and Frank Lutz; and his siblings-in-law, Irene Lutz, Harvey VanDeWeg (Sherri) and Shirley VanDeWeg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Klaassen Family Funeral Home (1500 Robbins Rd, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
