He was predeceased by: his father Thomas H. Brooks; and his siblings, Gladys, Dora, Vera, Oscar, Thomas and Shelby.
He is survived by: his wife Noreen Kratt; his children, Robyn Brooks of Grand Haven, Vicki Brooks of Jackson, MI and Randy Brooks (Mary) of Breckenridge, CO; his stepsons, Mike Kratt (Kathy), Dave Kratt, Gary Kratt (Gail) and Kevin Kratt (Jaimie); and his siblings, Nancy Reaume, Patsy Martell (Ed), Grover Brooks (Debra) and Bob Brooks. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
