He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schouman and Verta Schouman (Callahan). He is survived by: his children, Charles Schouman (Brenda Penland), Bill Schouman (Melissa), Cindy Botbyl (John) and Sara Zalsman, Jr. (Charles); his daughter-in-law Amy Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Ian, Ali, Stephanie, Austin, Hayden, Laura, Jacob, Caleb, Miles and Wyatt; his great grandchildren, Malcolm and Zoe; his brother Ron Schouman; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Fee and Jim McLaughlin (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Covenant Life Church (101 Columbus Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Covenant Life Church or Hospice of Michigan.
