As Romayne departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Romayne may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Romayne leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Althaus and Norma Althaus (Saunders); and her brother Steven R. Althaus. She is survived by: her great-niece Lucienne "Lucie" Wagoner; her sibling's children, Kara Wagoner (Jay) of Hudsonville, Chelsea Fox (Kerra Norton) of Santa Fe and Wesley Althaus of Chicago, Illinois; her sister-in-law Diane Althaus of Grand Haven, Michigan; and her sister Barb Sepanik. She is also survived by her close friends, nieces, nephew, and great-niece.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion Post No. 28 (700 S Harbor Dr, Grand Haven, MI 49417).
