He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Frank Maka and Helen Agnes Lakowicz; his former wife Donna Maka; his wife Ruth Ann Maka; his son Randy Maka; and his brother Joe Maka.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Maka (Belton Myers), Chris Maka (Tina Tang) and Valerie Bacewicz (Tony); his stepchildren, Brenda Mergener (Mike) and Ron Dancz, Jr. (Romona); his grandchildren, Derek Bacewicz (Rachel Cleveland), Madeleine Maka, Aaron Bacewicz (Genevieve), Jennifer Randall (David), Heather Rios (Jeremy), Ronald Dancz, III (Cheryl), Michael Mergener, II, Melissa Mergener and Ryan Dancz (Christina); his great grandchildren, Emma, Mark, Ivan, Matthew and Brian; and his siblings, Kitty VandenBrink (Kelly), Gerry Adams (Bill), Bonnie Maka, Sara Maka and Ray Maka (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
