He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Elden and Barbara Closs, Sr. (Smith); his children-in-law, Linda Closs and Robert Swanson; and his sisters, Diane Sessoms and Barbara Bastin.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Closs; and his children, Denise Swanson, Roy Closs, III (Susan) and Andrew Closs. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
