She was predeceased by: her parents, Arie Pieter and Willemijntje Baauw (Terol); her daughter Amy Hecksel; her daughter-in-law Susan French; her son Robert French; her brother Fred Baauw; her stepbrother Jan Osterop; and her nephew Joseph Baauw.
She is survived by: her husband Terry French; her sons, Karl French (Beth) and Kevin French (Shelly); her son-in-law Rodney Hecksel; her grandchildren, Nicholas Childs (Meghan), Emalee Bryant (Carter), Clarissa Wiegand (Phillip), Karlee Reyes (Javier), Ashley Smith (Corbin), Alexandra "Allie" Kolenbrander (Matthew), Alyssa Overbeek (Matthew), Joshua Hecksel (Samantha), Andrew Hecksel (Sarah) and Remington French; her great grandchildren, Everette "Evie" Bryant, Ford Wiegand, Hank Wiegand, Ellena Smith, Ivan Hecksel, Noah Hecksel, Reese Hecksel, Amelia Hecksel, Gage Hoyt, Kennedy Kolenbrander and Alfred "Freddy" Kolenbrander; and her siblings, Lucy Kramer (Richard) and Max Baauw (Grace). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
