He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Ensign and Betty Ensign (Allen); his wife Maribeth Stankich; his daughter Alicia Ensign; and his brothers, Robert, Russell and William Ensign.
He is survived by: his children, Megan Boos (Aaron), Lindsay White (Andy), Timothy and David Ensign; his grandchildren, Andrew, Ethan and Anna Boos; and his brother David Ensign (Tanja). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests. Memorial Contributions be made to the West Michigan Veterans Coalition, whose mission is to support local veterans, service members, and their families throughout West Michigan.
