He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Oakley and Zora Oakley Taylor; and his brother Harold Oakley. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his daughters, Denise Hedlund (Tom) and Tonya Woodrough (Gary); his grandchildren, Ashley Killam (Josiah), Benjamin Hedlund (Cassie), Anna Woodrough and Danielle Woodrough; and his siblings, Ralph (Jill) and Gwen. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Delta Chapel (6301 W St Joseph St, Lansing, MI 48917).
