It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Weitzel of Grand Ledge, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Larry; her grandson Kevin Weitzel Jr.; and her sister Mary Schafer. She is survived by : her children, Debbie Dittmer (Jay), Mike (Dawn), Dave (Janet), Kevin (Lorie), Brian (Denise) and Cathy; and her grandchildren, Kelly Pruitt (Jason), Mike Dittmer (Blair), Chris Xanders (Abby), Matt Weitzel, Ryan Weitzel (Johanna), Elleisha Burrow (DJ), Adam Weitzel, Matthew, Peyton, Esther, Judah, Gabriella, Hannah Weitzel, Jasmine Weitzel, Ashley Weitzel, Richard Weitzel (Nicole), Brianna LaGrow (Dillon), Brandy Brown (Randy), Justin Swain (Laura), Nicolette Merchant (Neb) and Sophie Weitzel. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Evelyn's name to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or American Cancer Society.
