We announce the death of Grace Marlene Thomas of Grand Ledge, Michigan, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 90. Grace will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgo Brighton and Charlotte Brighton; her husband Carl Thomas; her adoptive mother Dora Lawson; her granddaughters, Michelle Thomas, Summer Fisk and Samantha Thomas; her son-in-law Benny Lopez; and her siblings, Lucretia "Petie" Thomas (Robert), Catherine "Katie" Snoke (Larry), George "Jiggs" Brighton (Joan), Preist "Mike" Brighton (Shirley), James "Thumper" Brighton (Bonnie), Patsy Brighton and Virgo Brighton Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Darrel Thomas (Jill), Robin Lopez and Carletta Thomas; and her sister Blanche Spitzley. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
