She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Petersen and Myrtle Petersen (Sharkey); her husband Richard Powis; and her children, Victor, Van Powis and Holly Plunkett (Powis).
She is survived by: her daughter Angela "Ann" Joy Powis (Geller); her grandchildren, Valerie Powis, Jason Powis (Penny), Ian Powis (Jennifer), Amber Geller, Heath Powis (Christy), Nico Geller, Derek Powis, Jacob Plunkett and Justin Plunkett; and her goddaughter Karen Cote (Jackson). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Grand Ledge (517 S Clinton St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
