He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldis J. McGill and Beverly E. Cook. He is survived by: his sisters, Audrey McGill Looman (James) and Julia McGill Elder Boedeker (David); and his nieces and nephews, John Elder, James S. Looman (Barbara), Leigh Elder Saxton (Mark), Sean Looman (Anne), Brent Boedeker (Jang) and Tricia Phinney (Clifton).
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Grand Rapids (3000 Monroe Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
He enjoyed feeding the birds, working in the donation center, and delivering newspapers to residents, along with participating in other miscellaneous jobs.
