Alice Rikans Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 29, 2024, at the age of 76, Alice Rikans of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Groot and Andrew Groot; her brothers, Case Groot and John Groot; and her brother-in-law Tim Schoen.

She is survived by: her husband John Rikans; her daughters, Tricia Rikans and Jennifer; her daughter-in-law Tiffany Cribbs; her grandson John Benton Cribbs; her pets, Kahlua, Bailey, Wall-E, Sampson and Thor; her brother Nick; her sister-in-law Sally Groot; her sister Agnes Schoen; her sister-in-law Rose Groot; her sister Jane; her brothers-in-law, Paul Esch and Gary Jones; her sisters, Linda Kaminski and Mary; her brother-in-law Ken Kieras; and her sister Liz Groot. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to your favorite dog and/or animal rescue, as that was something Alice was passionate about.
