He is survived by: his wife Brigita Darzniek (Straume); his children, John Darzniek (Julie), Peter Darzniek (Ann) and Kristine Waide (Christopher); his grandchildren, Allison Darzniek, Tyler Waide and Konrad Waide; and his sister-in-law Ingrīda Straume.
