She was predeceased by: her husbands, Merrill Doorn and Richard Mackey; her sister Carol Walters; and her brother-in-law Dennis Walters. She is survived by: her children, Troy Sremba (Michelle), Todd Sremba and Kelli Hinton (Tim); her stepdaughter Bobbi Shuttuck (Shane); her brother Ronald Wiersema; and her stepchildren, Kevin Mackey (Jill), Ryan Mackey, Tod Mackey (Lisa) and Bret Mackey (Lisa). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rosedale Memorial Park (50 Lake Michigan Dr, Walker, MI 49544).
