She was predeceased by: her parents, John VanderJagt and Laura VanderJagt; her husband Peter Sturrus; her grandson Daane DeBoer; and her children, James Sturrus and Sharon Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Zerrenner and Thomas Sturrus (Teresa); and her children-in-law, Patty Sturrus and David Anderson. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
