We are sad to announce that, on March 1, 2024, at the age of 81, Barbara A. Szalkie (Grand Rapids, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kling and Hilda Kling; her husband Stephen Joseph Szalkie, Jr.; her son Stephen Michael Szalkie; and her brothers, Robert and Eugene Kling.
She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Stotts (Kevin); her brother Ed Kling (Gloria); her grandchildren, Stephen Szalkie (Carrie), Michael Szalkie, Katie Stotts, Matthew Stotts and Benjamin Stotts; her great grandchildren, Nicole Szalkie and Cailey Szalkie; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Kling and Sandra Casey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pregnancy Resource Center Grand Rapids.
