He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Miedema and Jeanette Miedema (Tewksbury); his brother Ronald L. Miedema; his daughter Tammy Huber (Miedema); his granddaughters, Zahra and Zineb Benboubaddi; and his close friend Dennis Hartley.
He is survived by: his significant other Beatrice Hartley; his brother John A. Miedema; and his children, Michele Benboubaddi (Hassane Akhiyad), Michael Miedema, Amanda Miedema and Jo Miedema. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with the cost of the headstone.
