We are sad to announce that, on March 21, 2026, Basil Bowerman of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Bowerman; his parents, Rollo Bowerman and Mae Bowerman; his siblings, Rollo Bowerman, Jr., Cleon Bowerman, Cleoria and Hank Elgersma; his sister-in-law MaryAnne Bowerman; and his wife Mary Fields.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Bowerman (Jan), Mary Bliss (Ken) and Jeff Bowerman (Pat); his grandchildren, Nate, Dan, Sam, Michael, Ben, Melissa, Jeremy, Brian, Alex and Abigail; his brother Theron Bowerman; and his sister-in-law Vivian Sims. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maplelawn Baptist Church.
