She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Geelhoed; her parents, Ralph Herrema and Hermina Herrema; her son Tim Geelhoed; and her grandsons, Mark Huizinga, Rodney Huizinga and Gregory Geelhoed.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Kooienga, Linda Wierenga (Tom) and Terry L. Geelhoed (Barbara Lenneman); her foster daughter Mary Ann Vanswol; and her brothers, Steve Herrema (Carrie), Nelson Herrema (Jean) and Arland Herrema. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many Providence Church family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Providence Christian Reformed Church (7730 Eastern Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508).
