He was predeceased by : his wife Marge Boersma (Dieterman); his siblings, Bill Boersma (Kay), Eleanor Elenbaas (Jack), Henry Boersma (Loeke), Ralph Boersma, Harry Boersma (Helen) and Mart Boersma; his siblings-in-law, Len Steensma, Dave Harper, Gerald Dieterman (Lois) and Shirley Leetsma Gillisse (Gord); and his parents, Martina Boersma (Scans) and Marcus Boersma.

He is survived by : his daughters, Sheri Boogaart (Phil) and Joan Haan (Phil); his grandchildren, Michele Pajak (Joe), Melissa Bayne (Ryan), Leah Paulick (Chris), Eli Haan and Jake Boogaart; his great grandchildren, Ruby, James Bayne, Willa Pajak, Nicholas, Mason and Aurora Paulick; his siblings, Bertha Steensma, Grace Harper, Ben Boersma (Cleo) and Anne Ezinga (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Ann Boersma and Barb Boersma. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Brookside Christian Reformed Church or to the Marcus and Martina Boersma Memorial Scholarship Fund at Kuyper College.
