It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Huisman of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on November 22, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bertha Huisman to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Bertha farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Bertha is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry; and her son James A. Huisman. She is survived by: her children, Henry Jr. Huisman (Terri) and Linda Garver (Don); and her friend Pat Zuverink. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bertha may be made to Samaritan's Purse or to Woodward Baptist Church.
