He was predeceased by: his brother Craig Whitson. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Buckthorpe Whitson; his children, Courtney (Robert Vander Poppen), Jaymie (Jeff Prindiville) and Adam (Jennifer Whitson); his grandchildren, Morgan, Alexis, Carter, Brian, Connor, Rylann and Caroline; and his sisters, Gail Kassin, Denny Shull and Dawn Lampe.
