He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Jenelle (Rich Robles), JulieAnn (Shad Thomas), Nate Buist and Kathryn Buist (Caitlin Vives); his grandchildren, CalliAna, Mariella, Parker, Elliana Robles, Louisa, Kai, Adelaide and Noa Thomas; his sisters, Joy (Bill Lokker), Mary (Al TerHaar), Faith (Rog VandenBerg), Carole (Dave Van Ee), Rainelle (Tom Jansma) and Nancy (Paul VanderWeide); his sister-in-law Ardith (Bill Wylie); and his parents, Frank Buist and Flossie Buist. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Cal may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Women at Risk, or International Justice Mission.
