He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his parents, Peggy Trudell (Clarence "Buzz") and Buster "Buck" Sands; and his siblings, Shannon Waite and Steve Trudell (Tina). He is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to covid, a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
