She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Luskin and Helen Luskin (Farrington). She is survived by: her husband Irving O. Benson; her children, Brian (Lynne) and Andrea Cosenza (Joseph); her half-sister Geraldine Rasmussen (Roger Rasmussen); her daughter Lisa A. Migliore (Salvatore); and her grandson Clifford I. Benson.

Carole gave back by donating time to The Steketee Guild, Newcomers, school PTA and other charitable organizations.
