Cecilia Mereness Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Cecilia Mereness (Grand Rapids, Michigan). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Winifred Holkeboer and Oscar Holkeboer; her son Jud; and her siblings, Jean Hunt, David and Robert Holkeboer.
She is survived by: her significant other Jud Mereness; her sister Lois Van Zanten (Frank); and her daughters, June Guetter (Sabine) and Shelley Marinus (John). She is also survived by two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Servant (3835 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made to With Ministries (https://withministries.org) or to Church of the Servant "in memory of Cele Mereness.".
