Charles Ybema Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Ybema of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Ybema and Lucy Ybema; his son Chip Ybema; and his brother-in-law Harold Cook. He is survived by: his daughter Sara Ybema (Ben Williams); his grandchildren, Theodore, Mahina, Minerva and Bernadette; his siblings, Mary Cook and Doug Ybema (Marsha); and his former wife Betty Horvath (Geoff). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
