He is survived by: his wife Ellen Puper-Winther; his children, Walter Winther (Bridget), Arthur Winther (Valerie), Christian Winther II, Michele Andreas, Renée Elderkin (John) and Michelle Puper-Hawkins; his grandchildren, Amber VanVolkinburg (Philip), Nichole Winther, Josh Andreas (Ashley), Christian Winther III (Stephanie), Matthew Winther, Jefferey Winther (Lisa), Lauren Desai (Sameer), Daniel Winther (Ashley), Zachary Winther (Tedi Ellis), Austin Andreas (Margarita), Nicholas Herrington (Sarah Yaple), Emily Elderkin (Jack Bowman), Sara Elderkin, Jessica Elderkin and Matthew Elderkin; and his brothers-in-law, Frits Hoekstra (Anna) and John Hoekstra. He is also survived by 29 beautiful great-grandchildren.
