It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher T. McGuffey in Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy McGuffey Jr. (Copeland) and John Jr. McGuffey; his son DeShaun McGuffey-Ware; and his sister Diane Garrett. He is survived by: his children, Shawntay Johnson (Kenneth II) of Houston, TX, Christopher McGuffey Jr. of Muskegon, MI and Aaliyah Johnson of Muskegon, MI; his granddaughter Charlotte Johnson of Houston, TX; his siblings, John McGuffey III, Jeff Wilson, Steffan McGuffey Sr. (Charlene), Marie McGuffey-Bursey (Samuel Jr.), Niccole McGuffey and Ashley McGuffey; his former wife Mary Ware; his uncle Danny Bell; his cousins, Terry Copeland and Shytelia Pearson; and his close friend Julius Ledbetter. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
