She was predeceased by: her husband John; and her children, Alice Lewis (Aukje), William J. Dirkmaat, Clara J. Dirkmaat (Klaasje) and Dianne M. Dirkmaat.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jan, Harm, Hendrick, Gijsje and Gaitska; her daughter Irene Brechting (Duane); her son-in-law Randy Lewis; her grandchildren, Phil Brechting (Emily), Stacey McKersie (Jeremy), Barbara Barten (Brad Miller), Kevin Brechting (Carey), Ryan Brechting (Diana) and Cara Jo Dirkmaat (Brad Baker); her great grandchildren, Brooke (Nolan), Ava, Leighton, Ryland, Paxton, Keegan, Tierney, Kaden, Tucker, Jack, Rhett and Nash; her sister Gaitske Beneker (Maarten); her sister-in-law JoAnn Dirkmaat; Irene. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to New Community Church or Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated.
