Cynthia Brondsema Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia Brondsema (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on December 5, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Mike McCloskey; her father Ron Bloom; and her father-in-law David Brondsema. She is survived by: her husband John Brondsema; her children, Rachel McCloskey, Kelly McCloskey, Kerry Leigh James (Austin), Danielle Moon (Steven) and Johnny Brondsema (Ashley); her grandchildren, Elijah, Penelope, Connor, Levi, Roman, Isaac, Josephine and Millie; her mother Vernell Bloom; her mother-in-law Dianne Brondsema; her siblings, Ron Bloom (Barb), Beth Van Slyke (Steve) and Peggy Corpe (Tom); and her sister-in-law Laurel Verburg (Steve). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 7:00 AM at the Est Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (1833 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at the Hearts and Home of Ronald.
