He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Jack, Liz Parsh, Thomas and Evelyn Ryan; and his uncle David.

He is survived by : his parents, Bob Ryan and Jackie Ryan; his wife Katie; his children, Dani, Andy (Chelsea), Katelynn and Elizabeth; his grandson Joe Cool; his siblings, Timothy Ryan (Linda), James Ryan (Julie) and Susan Schumaker (Mark); his parents-in-law, Dave and Mary Kirvan; his in-laws, Amanda Kroll (Marc), John Kirvan, Rachel Neyra (Percy) and Matthew Kirvan (Melissa); and his close friends, Shawn Lemm and Ken Inman. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Alphonsus Parish (224 Carrier St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
