David Cantrell Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of David Cantrell (Grand Rapids, Michigan). David, born on January 13, 1947, passed away on June 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paulean Cantrell and Mackenzie Patrick; his children, Darrell Cantrell, Brian Cantrell and Sharmeda Cantrell; and his grandson David Witherspoon.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Cantrell; his children, David Cantrell Jr., Simone Bouknight (Terran) and Felicia Williams (Melvin); his brother Aaron Cantrell (Jackie); his grandchildren, Danielle Witherspoon, Amonte Cantrell, Amer Williams, Jaden Bouknight, Trenton Bouknight, Amber Williams, Kaylee Reid, Alexis Williams and Cheyenne Reid; his great grandchild Choyzen Collins; and his friends, Harold, Henry and Sam. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

At the family's request, memorial contributions are to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Michigan Chapter.
